When I started planning my Casino Chip Challenge (essentially a chip run) in April I was not a member of the or even aware of its existence. As a member I have learned so much about chip collecting and I now realize that a "chip run" with a 7-8 mile "fun run" is not a very viable enterprise. After several months of preparation and hundreds of dollars spent it is too late for me to turn back so I've decided to change its scope to a racing organization (running, marathons, triathlons, bike races, etc.) at casino destinations - with the side purpose of introducing new people to chip collecting.

I spent this weekend re-doing my website and I'm moving forward with my original Saturday May 1st, 2010 date. I am still looking forward to presenting at the Atlantic City CCC meeting next weekend about my event (thank you again John K.). If you know runners who might be interested in a fun run up/down the Strip please forward them to my website.

Part of my event will be an after race party at a Downtown LV hotel (probably Golden Nugget or Four Queens) on Saturday night so I am extending an invitation to the Southern Nevada CCC to utilize the room I rent to hold one of their monthly meetings. I'll be renting a room large enough for 100 people and plan to have several tables and chairs. If your club meetings are as informal and fun as the recent New England Chippers meeting it should be a great time for all. If any of the SNCCC members would like to setup a one table shop/store at the party please let me know - this will be free to any member.
