I think a law should be passed to make it mandatory to ship chips in a padded envelope. I sometimes wonder what people are thinking when they stick a chip in a bond paper envelope. I put my chips in a used jiffy bag and then put that one inside a new padded envelope - a kind of belt and braces thing. I'm sorry you lost your chip, I know when I'm expecting packages I get really excited about what's coming and would be really p**s*d if something went wrong (happily that hasn't happened).
