#1 use your cell phone to call 911
#2 stop and offer what little assistance you are able give to the occupants.
#3 rely on On Star (tm) to send emergency personell.
Is it rusty remenants from a past wreck?
Are there people inside?
Are they alive?
Is the car on fire?
Are the occupants walking around and appear OK but dazed?
Does the Corvette have OnStar?
Do You have a cell phone?
Does it have signal?
You make the assumption in #2 I have a lack of qualifications for currently needed aid.
Am I the only one in sight?
Is it possible to do more than 1 of your options, or am I limited to select just one?
What I would do would depend on the situation. - A situation has happened to me like that before. Traveling to Galveston (at night) I came on a car that hit a huge black cow in the road. I parked in a safe area and made my kids remain inside. I called 911 and lit signal flares I carry as well as direct tracffic as it aproached. My wife (trained registered trauma nurse) rendered medical aid to the victims (2) and as motorist arrived (who helped) we were able to extract one victim prior to DPS and Life Flight. Both were in critical condition - one of them would NOT have lived without our help. She sends us a Christmas card every year without fail. OnStar did not exist at the time...
