Insurance pools are companies working with individuals to lower costs while still making a profit for the companies. That is Capitalism. None of your examples are government mandated. No one is forced to participate.

I don't have health insurance. I choose not to participate. I won't have that option under Obamacare. It will be forced upon me by the government. That is Marxist socialism.
