I received a number of emails from participants throughout the RR who indicated there was basically average to poor quality chips in the RR box citing the participants in front of them taking out all the good stuff and replaced it with average or poor quality chips. For the most part they were right.
I know what went in, 80+ obsoletes and UNC chips along with some foreigns and some non Nevada, although even the OBS chips were VG, SU or UNC.
What came back was just what participants emailed me...mostly average and poor condition chips, with a few nice ones. I realize that with each participant, the best chips go first and that is an advantage of responding first, but to replace the chips with such lower quality is incomprehensible to me. Especially among our own members.
The rules clearly stated to replace with similar or better quality so the remaining participants had good chips from which to select. That just didn't happen.
We live and learn, if anyone has any ideas to help the RRs, it is appreciated. The Holiday Round Robin will limit the number of chips which can be taken out per participant and they will need to list each of the chips they put in (and no duplicates!), so we all can more closely track those that are not playing nice with others.
I apologize to those who were at the back half of the RR, but it will get better. I will also Scanthe chips that went in so everyone knows what is starting in the RR
