Let's just say you used to work for Sears in the hardware department for $22.75 / hour. Of course you only work 39 hours a week so you have to pay for health care insurance your self.
OK the following is based on information I have read but is in no way to be considered fact.
You were working in Massachusetts but your wife was transferred to Illinois. Naturally you followed your beloved Wife and moved to Illinois.
Now you still work for Sears but the Policy you purchased in Massachussets no longer is in force in Illinois.
Now your Athsma medication is no longer covered as it is now considered a pre existing condition. so you are no longer covered for your Inhalers.
The government currently restricts interstate insurance coverage. That's why health insurance is only obtainable from 6 companies in California out of 100's of possible alternatives. Let insurance companies compete across state lines! That is a Republican idea that has been buried by Obama, Reid, Pelosi and the mainstream media.
Car insurance companies have to compete with each other everywhere, and the costs to the consumer buying car insurance are market driven. They aren't fueled by the government and don't require taxpayer subsidies. I'm required, by law, to have car insurance to drive. I can buy that insurance from any provider in this country. Those providers actively compete for my (and your) business. I shop for the best rate on the coverage I need. It is required, but it is also a free-market-based system that allows the insurers to compete against each other. Make heath insurance the same. I have Progressive insurance for my car and all of the cars I rent during the year at a reasonable price that doesn't include funds forcefully removed by the government from your wallet.
