Great Post!
Thanks John for your thoughts on the museum. I think donations will increase when the membership sees something come together that they can actually feel and touch. We are working very hard on that. In the mean time I hope that all members talk to their respective lawyers and accountants about the advantages of placing the club in their wills. As you know, we are all just temporary caretakers of the wonderfull items that we collect and cherish. To place some of those items in an enviroment that can be enjoyed by others for many years is very satisfying and comforting. I have set aside several parts of my collection for the club. I have a huge gaming library which includes a lot of items only an industry insider would have. I have always thought one of the greatest benefits of having a home for the club would be a place for our members to come and research books and articles on casinos and gambling. Although we are promoting the museum aspects of this project we must not forget this project ultimatley belongs to the club and it's membership. It will be a place where they can not only enjoy the museum like the general public, but they will be able to go to a private area and enjoy the library, have a place to visit with other members, and computer access while they are visiting Las Vegas anf the museum. Thanks again. Regards, Jim
