... new chippers who would call oter chippers mentioning that they understand it's common place to send new chippers chips in order to get them started... Many of us did follow thru back then, but yet there were some who thought it out of place to actually ask for free chips... There have also been the artists who would join the group and contact us asking for monetary donations due to family and personal illness... which panned out to be a hoax...

Personally, concerning your interest in personal chips which are normally just given out, anyway... I see nothing wrong with you asking in whatever manner you choose. Otherwise, how would those who might not freqent this board on a daily basis know what it is you're searching for?

You may have offended a few, but I wouldn't worry too much about it since the majority of us know that you mean no harm.

I would like to make a suggestion, though... and that is to consider buying banner space advertising your interest...
