I am pleased to announce that today, Sunday, October 25, 2009 we placed 10 more Items on eBay for the purpose of raising club awareness and making some money too! Auctions started after 1PM PDT!

The Club's eBay ID is cc-gtcc!

8 of the items consist of convention chips from years gone by and 2 of the items were donated to the club for us to sell and raise money. Thank you to the donors!

I am also pleased to announce that we can now solicit from our members and anyone else for that matter, items to sell on eBay! When, and if, an item sells the donor will receive a letter from the CC>CC specifying the sale price for purposes of tax deductibility!

We, of course, provide you the letter with the caveat that; subject to tax regulations, consult your tax advisor, BLAH!, BLAH!

If your donated item does not sell we will offer to, (a). offer it again at a later date, (b). send it back to you! You must allow us to determine the minimum opening bid! If you can’t live with that, please don’t send anything!

Because of the nature of eBay fees and PayPal fees you will need to consider, and for this I apologize, that pretty high end chips and tokens are all we can accept for now!

I am having a little battle with eBay right now as I was under the impression that not-for-profit sellers on eBay do not have Final Value Added Fees! They assure me that that is not the case but I know I read it before I put us through all the hoops to get approved so…

You need to send the chip or token directly to me, include any information you consider relevant and BE SURE to include your phone number and email address. I will confirm receipt but probably will not be able to specifically tell you when the item(s) will go up!
