As some of you who have been out in the field with me know, I'm also into coral, seashells and vintage/modern Philippines furniture.

Well, I went deep south looking and making contacts, and as I entered one shop; sitting there right on a console... staring right in to my eyes, was a hunk of white Faviildae (Brain Coral). When I say hunk, I mean hunk...! This sucker is 17.25 x 22.50-inches and 10-inches thick; uncut, uncleaned and free-standing as if it were simply lifted straight up from the ocean floor... and it's not the ordinary-type Brain Coral seen about, but rather a deep-ridged.... I'm very happy...!
I also scored on an end table designed by Maitland-Smith, LTD... that's made with hand-ground coconut shell tiles inlaid on its top. Bill Clinton has one... so I'll just have to keep it in the family room for now...
