After a terrible week I thought our members could use a little good news. Last week a box arrived from the Claudine Williams estate. We are now the permanant owners of several priceless gaming artifacts. We have a plaque from Harrahs to Mrs. Williams with the first two personal chips they made to honor her, we have the framed artwork the club presented to her(this is a valuable one of a kind item), and we have several pictures of industry icons along with her early business cards and other miscellanous items. Most important, we have the item I fought UNLV for, Mrs. William's crystal oblisk inducting her into the Gaming Hall Of Fame. This is the only one I know of that doesn't either belong to the recipient or their family. Someday this will be on permanant display in our new home(museum). In the meantime I will set up a display at next years convention to share these treasures with the rest of the members.
