I never was involved in helping with deleting spam posts before. As a result, I really didn't know how big of a problem it was or knew about how much time some folks dedicate each day to make sure those posts are removed.

Many MAny MANY thanks to all of you who already devote so much of your time to deleting the spam on the boards. The amount of time you guys spend a day on this must be crazy.

My worry is that because this task takes so much of your time, that it will or has become a burden for you. So much of a burden that it makes the entire chip board experience a negative one for you.

I am going thru a process right now to determine what our options are. Actually we are limited on what we can do at this time.

One idea that we can do is to bring on additional volunteers to help with this task. Special thanks goes out to those of you that have volunteered to help. That's awesome and apprecate the offers.

I also see some patterns in regards to the spam itself and feel that we might be able to do something from a programming stand point to auto delete these posts.

Please know this. I know this is a problem and I am interested in addressing it. I don't want us to be too hasty on it either.

While I've been an avid reader and occasionally poster on the board for years, I have been involved at a larger capacity in less than a week. I do appreciate your patience.
