Most of you don't know this, but Greg was extremley jealous of my computer skills. When he was doing the first riverboat book he called and asked me to scan some chips in my collection. My response was "sure, tell me how to do it" after he gave me the long and technical explanation, I felt a little bad having to tell him I didn't have a scanner. I did offer to go to Kinkos and make him some color copies. He said no, he was coming to Kansas City in a week and he'd come to my house and take care of it. Sure enough, he showed up with his scanner, wires hanging from it and all! Now the fun part, my computer was so bad he couldn't get it to work with the scanner, so off to Kinkos we go to scan my chips and he made me pay for it!!!
After several months of badgering I sprung for a new computer and scanner. Greg said he was proud of me. Of course I never really learned to use it, but my wife did, sending him scans of new discoveries for the next book. I guess I never got around to telling him it was Debi and not me.
