I remember during the Vietnam War, hawkish republicans and democrats flew the bumper sticker “Love it or Leave it”. Now we have an emotionally dedicated obamaite saying “Hey smart guy, leave this country if you do not like the government and go somewhere else”. Fortunately in this country everyone has a right to their opinions. Unlike castro who exported his opposition, we can only hope this country retains a more or less equal two party system to prevent people of this opinion exporting anyone who disagrees with their politics.

Thomas Jefferson said: “Experience hath shown, that even under the best forms (of government) those entrusted with power have, in time, and by slow operations, perverted it into tyranny”

Howard Zinn said “Dissent is the highest form of patriotism.”

And do forget what JFK said: “Conformity is the jailer of freedom and the enemy of growth.”

And on a lighter vein Will Rogers said: “A difference of opinion is what makes horse racing and missionaries.”
