In the overall, I too think it's a wonderful idea. Mike, by all means, go forward. Just as Gene mentioned, the criteria will need to be established. Also, the manner in which people are nominated and voted upon (committee or membership, assuming of course you are talking about a endorsed event, which I think you are).

Assuming that is the case, it is fortuitous that the Club will now be having annual election events. As such, having an additional ballot measure for the award (if voting is to be by membership) could simplify the process. Perhaps even using the Officer nomonation process to solicit nominees will work as well.

However, and you can certainly go in any direction you want, but because Greg was so solidly based in the on-line community, it would be my suggestion that the entire process (with the exception of the Award Presentation) be handled on-line, AND, very importantly (in my mind) is that the focus of the award criteria be based on on-line involvements and activities.

Again, just some suggestions, but you have the ball, but this might have a nice ring to it....
