Many years ago, there was a discovery of a $5 Arrows and Dice (Arodie) mold chip from the Sands Casino in Las Vegas. A new find of an Arodie chip from a famous Las Vegas casino caused quite a stir at the time. As far as I know, only two chips surfaced and each sold for an astronomical price. Now only $5 chips were found, no other denominations. But a scan of a $1 Sands Arodie soon after appeared on The ChipBoard. The chip was put in the next issue of The Chip Rack. As a collector of $1 chips from everywhere, this $1 Sands Arodie was at least an equal to the Showboat $1 chip as the most highly desired $1 chip ever made. I added the chip to my website page displaying all the $1 Arodie chips from Nevada.
It turns out the chip was a fraud, a Photoshop creation. The image was made for amusement purposes only, and was never meant to deceive anyone, but some how things got out of control. The chip was later removed from The Chip Rack, but I still left it on my website, mostly as a conversation piece. And believe me, I've a lot of conversations about it. When asked about it, I always replied that it was not real and that a "chipper" made it. Well now you all can know that the "chipper" was none other than Greg Susong. And the $1 Sands Arodie chip will always remain on my website.
