but I am having surgery on Thursday to repair a repair of an abdominal tear. The gauze I had inserted 10 years ago became detached earlier this year and needs to be replaced. Not a big issue in terms of it not being a 'medical' issue, its more of a sportsmans injury. Its the recovery from the 9 inch cut to insert the gauze which causes inconvenience in terms of not being able to sit down for some days in case I dislodge the repair.

So, the upshot of that is that I might not be able to monitor the bb's much for a little while as its hard to do too much from the iphone.

Following on from the thread earlier today about the bb's. Here are a few pointers for Brian and others. (Brian, Im probably teaching you to suck eggs anyway).
The bb's are cgi script driven. All data is effectively saved on the server as text files, and no real 'software' runs other than those scripts. Its very rare that a script fails. When this bb goes down it is 99% likely that it is a DNS issue with the hoster, not the server itself. Service will automatically resume in minutes or hours when the fault is fixed.
Its pretty easy to determine the type of fault. A problem with the bb software would only affect this bb (as there are separate instances of the software for each bb). A hosting service fault means that all the bb's, chipguide and club site go down.

Brian - if there is a problem with one particular domain and the server needs to be restarted, the admin phone number in the email I sent you should do it. I will also email you the link to the server control panel, login and password. Although you wont be able to control anything, the mere fact that a login is achieved tells you there is nothing wrong with the server.

There has been an awful lot of spam on all boards recently. As I suspect I have been the main deleter on all boards in recent times (purely because most seems to arrive overnight and Im first up) readers will just have to accept it might take a little longer to delete while I am not so active.
