I purchased some chips from a Great Member and sent the payment through Paypal as a "Gift to save us both charges....... The Member has a question that I cannot answer. I was thinking of that (posting it), but was afraid that Paypal would “inspect me.” (via a Google search which picks up everything). ... .... If you don’t sell, you could make the post. ... ... Of course, you did save me the fees (about 80-cents). ... ..... ..... I wonder if Paypal would complain (notice) if a seller got lots of gifts, and then deny him the use of receiving gifts in the future (something they said they would do if one abused the gift thing). Maybe the buyer should ask the seller first if he wants the payment called a gift... ..... Small amounts might be ignored by PayPal anyway, maybe .... ...... One could use the Post Office’s Click N Ship web page to make postage-shipping labels, but they only make them for (expensive) priority or express mail, and the seller would have to type in the buyer’s name and address. PayPal lets you make many classes of postage including first class parcel mail and parcel post, and they automatically insert the buyer’s name and address

Mark — OK, going out today. No complaint, but an interesting issue about calling it a “gift,” which I didn’t expect. Happened before. Because it was a “gift” , PayPal doesn’t provide the easy link to print a shipping-postage label. I could use PayPal to manually type in the info for a shipping label, but it would look peculiar (dangerous) to make a shipping label right after I got a gift. So I’ll have to apply postage stamps and have no delivery confirmation.

I wonder if anyone else had this quandary.
