That city has an astronomical crime+homicide rate. There are parts of the city that the COPS stay out of, forget tourists......

Another observation---President Obama shows once again that he is a political lightweight. There is NO WAY the US President should show up unless he KNOWS if he shows up, we get the Olympics. I don't care that the head of State of Brazil, or any other nation, pitched them. Send Hillary, or someone else. He just gave the world community, the one he so dearly wants to love us, another opportunity to embarass us. He is singlehandedly wrecking the stature of that office.
