Hi John. Not sure if this will help, but I had a similar problem when I returned from my last vacation. My computer would not start, at all. I contacted the company that built my computer, and I was told that the mother board was bad. I ordered, and installed a new one. Still nothing. Talked to a few people and was told to try and replace the video card. That did the trick. (And I returned the replacement motherboard.) Good luck.
