Re: How would a buyer even know I accept Quickpay?

Question: " In the case of eBay auctions, eBay allows a seller to accept payment by other EFT methods, but not to request them. Most buyers make an immediate payment after they win an auction, not waiting for an email from the seller. Ebay says you can't offer to use an alternate payment method in your auction text. So I don't see how a seller could routinely use an EFT method (Chase or other bank) when using eBay auctions."

Reply: First of all, not every chip sale in the world is from an eBay listing. You could use QuickPay for non-eBay transactions.. A lot of sellers don't bother much with eBay. ... ... ...Second, although it is against the eBay rules, I don't see that any harm, or permanent harm, would befall you, if you emailed the buyer right after the auction, and included QuickPay as a payment method. You could also send the buyer an email, after he paid, mentioning/advertising QuickPay.... ..... ..... I agree you can't "routinely" use QuickPay on eBay sales, but using it sometimes is better than no times, and you are publicizing it.

For every thousand dollars in chip sales through PayPal (where you don't lie about personal gifts, etc.), it costs $30+ in fees. If you give your buyers a 1% discount if they use QuickPay or checks, it costs you $10 instead of $30 (and no charge back headaches).

My advice would be to bill your buyer something like this:
¶ PayPal -- full price
¶ QuickPay or check or moneyorder -- 1% discount
