In the case of eBay auctions, eBay allows a seller to accept payment by other EFT methods, but not to request them. Most buyers make an immediate payment after they win an auction, not waiting for an email from the seller. Ebay says you can't offer to use an alternate payment method in your auction text. So I don't see how a seller could routinely use an EFT method (Chase or other bank) when using eBay auctions.
