Eight years ago I was in bed when my neighbor called and told us to turn on the television. Just sat there watching in horror for hours.

When Kennedy was shot, I was sitting in my 4th grade classroom at P.S. 174 in Rego Park NY. The sobbing teacher told us what happened and all of the girls in the class immediately burst into tears. Another incredibly traumatic day.
