Sitting at my desk getting traders and such ready for the meet tomorrow and thought I'd review a few of my convention acquisitions. reached over and picked up my stack of chips and realized these were the chips I bought Convention '08 at the Riv! Ummmm, well where the heck are my '09 chips??!! Root around in my convention floor poke bag and came up with the new guys! Whew! Top chip on the pile was Main Street Station $5 Rosie O'grady chipco tht I'd wanted for so long...completely forgot I'd found one at a good price so that was scoreboard for sure! Several other toughies too. Looked in my notebook to see the info I always record at urchase, who, how much etc and I find I did manage to record most of my goodies this time. Completely mystified however by the notation "MC26G", sorry no prizes for tanslation on that! Did recognise "Car=2E", That was where I left my car in the Southpoint parking structure. At least I am cognizant of my journey into Geezerville. I'd buy some of those memory pills but I always forget.
Need to get my papework completed soon for my pension so's those checks start coming. So on this retirrement lifestyle deal, do you pause for a few days at 200 lbs or do you just blast right on by? I'm asking because I'm exploring the neighborhood and being this is Portland Oregon, there are many brewpubs and bistros within walking didstance. Yesterday was Barley MIll for a turkey BLT wrap and a pint of Scarecrow Extra Pale Ale. And the happy hours around here! Perhaps I'll return tonight to Barley MIll for a margarita and cajunised tater tots for cheap. Or one of the other establishments nearby. Keeping in shape for Southpoint's $1 Friday special!
Okay, see everyone at Chet's house tomorrow. Would be pretty cool if Jim would bring one of them big fish down for a BBQ! Not as a guest if you catch my drift.
