Gripe about new shipping policy on eBay

I've just read the wording on the upcoming changes effective Sept 22nd for shipping insurance. Guess what? One of the things that they specifically said is this....
"You cannot indicate you are not responsible for the item once it has been shipped."

I see (sarcastically), so now we're responsible for how the post office (or UPS, or Fed Ex) ships the package? What if they lose it? Yes, I'll be happy to pay for the insurance, and just increase the handling cost by the extra $1.70 for the insurance costs, but that just seems very unreasonable for eBay to state that we have to be responsible for what the shipping company does to the package.

What are your thoughts?
