NCR, OK... Question for you Jewish People ...
My daughter LOVES pickles and we often buy kosher dill pickles. While stuffing her face with pickles she asked me about kosher foods. I explained in a very general way what it was because I really did not know all the complexities of kosher foods and preparations. Going to the internet I found much information on the subject. In learning about it I discovered there are a lot of interpretations on various things as preparations, foods, and other things between Orthodox Jews in the US and Europe, and through history things have changed.
While all this seems very complicated to me (non-Jewish), my question is: Is it really that complicated in your daily life? I did learn that most (or many) foods are marked with âKâ or âCâ code for the Jewish people, greatly helping but it seems it would still be a laborious task just to make out a weekly family menu. Plus, eating out would seem to be a nightmare.
How do you do it?
Thanks
