Re: Michael, very interesting. A question for you.

Marc Weiser and I were very good friends until he passed on in the late 1990's. Marc collected anything Las Vegas and spent the last 8 years of his life in Las Vegas. He kept meticulous records on his collection. I got the singles from Marc and he stated that they were from the ladies card room at the LVCC when he sent them to me. So it always stuck in my head. But going from that alone does not attribute the cards to a single use, they could have used them elsewhere at the Country Club. I am sure with the movers and shakers as members of the club, there may have been some high stakes gin, cribbage, and poker games going on. I like the fact that the LVCC used casino type of playing cards, may stem from the fact that many of the founders were in the gaming industry. As for chips I have no clue if there are any around.

I will continue to attempt to post as time lets me. Being in the industry, my schedule gets really weird. I am attempting to make an effort to post a little of everything casino card related.
