Atlantis Reno has just made it onto my list of "keep away" casinos. I went to inquire about the new HAN chip on Sunday night after my shift. Was told by cage supervisor that they would not be issued until Tuesday and WOULD NOT be sold at the cage. OK. Fine. Whatever. I get off shift last night and my back is screaming so I opt not to go down. My wife offers to go down in between her split shift this afternoon. Buys into a poker game, only to be told they do not have the chips in the poker room. She goes to various blackjack tables and is told they do not have them. Then one BJ dealer very rudely says they might be mixed in, she doesn't know. Finally, she is told that even if they have the chips, they can not outright sell them at the table. You have to buy into the game (with other chips) and they will pay out WINNING hands with the HAN chips. Now, my wife really isn't much into gambling at all with the exception of the low limit poker game and the slot machines, so decides not to buy in.
I'll go down after my shift tonight and buy in and see what I can come up with, but the Atlantis has made a really bad impression on me over this. I wouldn't recommend patronizing them unless absolutely nessessary.
