I have seen several reports that the toilet, floors, etc in your hotel room is not the "germiest" thing - it's the remote!
Remotes are seldom cleaned by the housekeepers and every smoo that goes to Vegas with the swine flu (only to spend their entire vacation stuck in bed in their room) has to sneeze on the remote.....ewwwww!
I have sent away and received free samples of disinfectant wipes or bought travel size pkgs of the wipes at Walmart. I just keep them in our suitcases.
As soon as we check into a room, I wipe down the door knob into and out of the room.....the bathroom door knobs and door jam area...the phone....but the remote gets a single disinfectant wipe all by itself!
Haven't brought any "creeping crud" home yet!
