Skip Tonopah and Goldfield for gaming
In Response To: "Rainbow Out!" Reno TR ()

Nice TR. Of course there is plenty of gaming in Reno - which can't be said for Crystal Bay or Tonopah and Goldfield. At least at North Shore there are still a couple clubs with table games. The Cal-Neva Lodge took their pit out years ago.

This year (as all years) we spent a few weeks at Tahoe. July 6th at 10AM and I walk into Jim Kelley's Nugget, but alas, they have taken their small poker room out. I walk into the Biltmore, and they have EXACTLY one BJ table open. At $10 it is empty. There are two people playing slots.

At the Crystal Bay Club across the street, there are likewise two people playing slots. They have two BJ tables open, one at $5 per hand, one at $10. The $5 table has one player.

I don't know how they are going to get through another winter............(by the way, I've been saying that since 1984).
