Not a MT illegal.
J&J chips with denoms delivered in 1973.
Montana Gambling
Pre-1937 it was all technically illegal (though rarely enforced).
1937-1950, gaming was okay as long as it was licensed locally.
1950-72, it was illegal.
1973, gaming was legalized state-wide (only poker, pan, and live keno).
So it was indeed a MT legal!!
Jim Person opened Jim & Claras in 1962.
Not sure when John Lyons got involved but a good guess would be 1973 as he ordered the chips in Oct 73. Hence the logo on chips, J&J for Jim & John.
The J&J hub that went to Tallulah, LA in 1950 did not have denoms on them.
BTW Frances is missing the yellow $25 chip from MT.
