... that even if the USPC lable was an error (when I first was allowed to view/keep Howdy's photos for research purposes), I searched all years as far back to the original hotel and the new locations and searched all the family names/members of the owners and still came up with nothing. Those who boasted that they knew something lead me nowhere. I made several trips over to Naples in the mid-90s and continued going back many more times... Hit all the antique shops up and down the coast and went thru all of those in the historical section of town. Spoke with ex-employees of the hotels; piano players to kitchen help from the 30s and 40s (and a few Generals, too ) who knew nothing. If there was and gambling, social or otherwise, they sure weren't ready to tell this kid... and the fishing sucked as well...
