Re: Nice! but I like the VCC better!

A few of us were in on a find that included a few examples of the VCC chip; I took the red one (I think there was a yellow as well). The seller explained that his father gave him what sounded like a salesman's sample case that he found at a truck stop in Iowa; 1951. There were a few die-cuts in the lot along with a bunch of PAL'S CLUB chips.

My VCC example was a killer. I sold it for $750 at the time. There was another die-cut in the lot with a SG monogram... I speculated as to whose it was, but we were never certain not knowing what Sam G's monogram looked like. But rarer than those, were three personal die-cut metal inlays that I grabbed on to from a private poker set of an owner of Bush beer... The "A" monogram smack in the center w/ his name surrounding.
