... my original "VS" find (from the first seller)?
My letters to Doug Saito and Myers explain that I was asked to attribute the chips to Las Vegas and Val Sneed way back then (not a recent thought by whomever) only because of what chips were in the original find... I knew very little about Las Vegas chips way back then. The two other purchases I made later on were from CC and somewhere else outside of Reno, and both women said Villa Sierra one screwerd up woman called it Sierra Club ) so I never accepted the LV story. I was also told that the mold goes as far back as 1937 and that they were used at a few illegal clubs (the club names were unknown to me) and two were described as being die-cut metal inlay.
I've accepted the fact that the LV and Reno info was not accurate after reading Gene's resarch... and I have nothing to go on regarding the mold going back to 1937. All I know for sure is that we do not know enough.
