Download the "Air Sharing" program from iTunes ($4.99 basic $9.99 Pro ??)
Scan your files onto your PC in PDF format....Connect wirelessly to your home computer per the instructions and swap files back and forth from PC to iPhone or iPod/Touch. You can then view on your phone or iPod.

I used this at the Convention this year....much better than carting around a laptop.

On the Touch you can use the Wi-Fi feature and with no need to have the expensive data plans.
