Just my opinion, but

personally I prefer the ring-type air-tites. I display my chips on the wall in oak cases, and I think the rings give the presentation a nice, finished look. Also, I can buy the I-type air-tites, then just swap rings for various sizes of chips (39mm and 40mm usually, but ocasionally I have the 38mm token, or baccarat chips where I don't use a ring). I don't particularly care for the look of the white or other coloured rings-- I prefer the simple black.

Of course this is all personal aesthetics, so it will vary from person to person.
