I've heard the description of C&S and I think I have a handle on what defines a chip as C&S and what is not. However, I have some confusion on some chips.

Question #1, Is a "Plain Mold" the same as C&S? (I often see them listed the same)

#2, If a "Plain Mold" chip has crosshatching can it be C&S?

I've noticed that older rectangle mold chips have smooth inlays like old C&S, (without crosshatching) but they are not sealed like C&S. The rectangle mold inlays seem to be the same material as the inlays used the for C&S and are made of different material than regular inlays.

There are a lot of plain mold chips that are called C&S but their inlays are different than the above mentioned C&S type inlays, these inlays seem to be more plastic & without the seal, and they also accept a crosshatched mold.

These two non C&S have the same exact inlay as the plain mold C&S?

#3 Does a chip need a "seal" to be crest and seal or are these plain mold non C&S?
