LICENSE PLATE OF THE DAY....and story

This plate was on one of my previous cars about 14 years ago when we first purchased our townhouse in A.C. After the home closing, when I pulled into our shared driveway for the first time along side of our brand new neighbor's car ... I noticed his car had a license plate "PRETZEL". Turns out his family owned the famous Reisman's Pretzel Co. in Philadelphia. Here are two cars side by side in a common driveway, one with "M CHIPS" license plate ... the other with "PRETZEL". What are the odds of that happening?

At that time, New Jersey had a limit of six characters on all personalized license plates. A few years later, the NJ law was changed to permit seven characters. I applied for, and received a new NJ plate that was embossed "MR CHIPS". When I purchased a newer automobile a few years ago, Brenda would not let me transfer the plates over to the new car... saying that she was not comfortable driving around in Atlantic City with a MR CHIPS license plate. My argument was that the personalized plate could be for 'computer chips' or 'chocolate chips' or 'fish & chips' ... but she won and my MR CHIPS plate is currently hanging on my computer work station in A.C. while the M CHIPS plate shown here is hanging on my wall in Brick, NJ.
