Convention Week Report
Well...I had a great time. The Doug Saito auctions on Monday were a whole lot of fun. It's a guaranteed good time even if you don't bid and gets the mind focused on chips. Tuesday morning's tour of the Neon Bone Yard was terrific. They've added a lot since my last visit and it's a great way to visit some old Vegas history. Then Tuesday night's party at the Palms. The food was great and the first opportunity to see a lot of old friends. Then there's Wednesday afternoon at Dealer set-up. It's like being backstage for opening night. Then the banquet Wednesday night. Good food and a really excellent talk by Michael Gaughan. Stories about Lefty Rosenthall, Howard Hughes, Steve Wynn and more. And then the convention starts.
