Chips from Alaska cruise
Took a cruise to Alaska on the ship Millennium. Alaska was cool, not cold. We saw a bear, eagles, Bunches of whales and Sarah Palin....Just kidding about the last part. Gene Trimble mentioned, about a week ago, that there wasn't too much, chip wise. He was right. I found and old "5" ivory chip. A shop owner gave me the 49'er Bar chip. She said the place no longer existed. I wonder if it was a gambling piece or just promotional? The Red Dog Saloon chip was an ad chip from Juneau. The piano player was a riot. The chips from the ship were generally pretty worn. These were the best five dollar chips I could find. The best chip from the boat is their Pineapple roulette. It's kind of strange the way the center is made with the depressed ring and raised center on one side. Who make these? About the roulette. I had a nice hit on three straight spins, put four chips in my pocket, and went over to a blackjack table. Twice before I left the casino I was asked if I had the chips and when I would return them. I almost felt they were going to frisk me. Does everyone guard their roulettes like that?
