but the way i read the article, the family was MORE than happy to get a nice payoff and avoid full prosecution and long trial. i mean, isnt' that the american way these days. i guess money meant more to the family than it did to see justice being served to the driver. i guess when i read this article i didn't see it as oh another athlete buys his way out of trouble. i saw it as another person that is more than happy to get some quick money.
