Not chips, but for a great converted train hotel..

We stayed in this 1960's converted Mark 1 British Railways carriage over Easter. Located in the grounds of the old Heacham station in Norfolk (around 80 miles North/Northeast of London), this lovingly restored coach has 2 bedrooms, bathroom, lounge and dining area and one compartment kept in original state as a reading room (the one with my daughter in guard's hat!). For anyone ever wanting to stay in a quiet rural area of England, only a few miles from the Queen's Sandringham home and within easy reach of a whole host of picture-postcard villages then just drop me an email and I'll send you the details. I have more pics, in higher resolution if anyone is interested.

The owners live in the old station building and have also converted the old waiting rooms, which miraculously escaped destruction, into a single bedroom accommodation. The old station hotel is still next door as a pub/restaurant and the whole place is only yards from the beach. Fantastic place to stay - mention my name if you ever stay there!
