There are three, $1, small key chips I know of. There is the yellow, the purple, and a black. I only know of one black to exist, and it belongs to a guy that doesn't collect chips or Beverly Hills memorabilia. He is a coin collector. He traded an old Mills slot machine to get the chip. At one time I offered him $600 for it and he just laughed and said he wouldn't consider anything less than $1000... So I don't expect it to leave his possession anytime soon. Aside from those and the $5 brown, small key, thats the only denominational chips I have ever seen from Beverly. About 8 or 9 years ago, I hear alot of stories from antique store owners, about a guy that was going around Northern Ky. that supposedly had a "case, of boxes" of Beverly chips that had denominations on them. But of course, most of them didn't have a name for the guy, one owner was able to give me the name of the bar that he was at a lot, but when I went to that bar and started asking questions, they had no idea who I was talking about. At one point I actually got the name of the guy, but the closest I could come up with was a phone number for his grandmother, but all she could tell me, since she had totally disowned him, was "If he has them, they are probably stolen". About 2 months ago, I saw the guy listed in the death notices, of the relatives it listed, none of them are in the phone books or phone directories. How frustrating.
