The USPS had no trouble at all breaking the Chipco plaques that were mailed in bubble pack envelopes! These definitely need some stiffener (like a piece of plywood) if you are going to mail them. Their longer 3.5" dimension gives you plenty of leverage to snap one into two pieces.
