I've had a similar experience coming close to selling my entire collection on more than one occasion after losing my job at Boeing post 9/11. The only thing that kept me from selling everything was the thought that I wouldn't get much out of my meager collection so I might as well just keep it! I have pared down my collection and slowed down on acquiring chips until things are better!
