Washing Casino Chips

Las Vegas Advisor's Q of the Day is a query wondering if casinos wash their chips. Heart warming answer for a couple of folks hereabouts who consider clean chips an abomination. Perhaps a future QoD would ask if casinos sandpaper off cigarette burns. vbg Anyway here's the link, http://www.lasvegasadvisor.com/qod.cfm There is also a link provided to an article concerning what bugs could be found on a dirty chip.

I once gathered a chip from the table of El Cortez a chip that fits Andy Hughes excellent description of El Cortez house chips, Wafers! It's got the usual table snot but the edges are tapered by wear to a point and the hats and canes are almost gone. You could probably fit 110 of them into a chip rack. I keep the poxy thing in an airtight... at least I hope to gawd it's airtight! Although the Wynn chips are mentioned as beng clean, I have seen plenty of Mirage chips that look as if they came from the floor of a slaughterhouse.
