I went down to the Golden Nugget & registered for the no limit tournament we are playing in on the 22nd. Nice room with 45 tables, the place was dead though at midnight. The no limit tournament on Saturday paid $17K for 1st. So, that is something to look forward to.

I then went to the Rio to check out the WSOP. Ended up playing a satellite & by the time the smoke cleared I had the two chips below. I'm leaning towards adding $500 to them & playing in the H.O.R.S.E event this coming Sunday. A PERFECT event for me because it starts at 5 PM.

Strange night...while I was checking out the satellites I ran into a woman from my pool playing days that I had not seen in years. She use to play on the women's tour. Then when I sat down at the table the dealer was a friend of mine from years back who I had not seen in years. He is here with his wife for two months with both of them dealing the WSOP.

It was nice to get back into live action after being away from it for so long.

And when Gene gets back & reads this...I saw Cathi Wood again tonight & she said to say hello. She is running satellites on swing shift. For those who do not know, Cathi was the poker room manager for a few years at the Horseshoe. Back when the WSOP was still there. Her dad is Bob Thompson who was the poker room manager at the Stardust for a lot of years & ran tournaments, including the WSOP. Her brother Robert also runs tournaments & ran the tournament one year. Some of you would know him from Celebrity Poker on a couple of years ago.
