finally was involved in a Bad Beat Jackpot

after years of throwing a buck away for every winning hand I've finally been involved in a Bad Beat Jackpot!

I was playing $1/$3 NLHE last night at a local Indian Casino and picked up AK. I flopped trip Aces and turned Quads. at showdown, my opponent have a pair of deuces.

What? that doesn't qualify for a BBJ!

Well, fortunately for me, I happened to be playing at the one casino in the area that has two jackpots. a "baby" one for Aces full of Deuces beaten by Quads or better and a traditional one where Aces full of Jackes beaten by quads or better. So, I got the winner's share of the "baby" jackpot for a total of $809.

Too bad for me, the baby jackpot happened to have been hit the night before so it got reset to $3,200 total and had only built up to about $3,500 when the hand came down. they said that the night before it was up to about $15,000 so the payout was obviously more!

But, 800 bucks is still a good return when I wouldn't have even gotten anything had I happened to play elsewhere so I can't complain!

Winner got 1600 and table share was 110. I happened to also win $400 for my play too so I came home with $1,200 bucks for 5 hours work!
