... and I've been asked to clean one in order to show its true beige color. I did not, but as I've explained in the thread; I've examined my examples very closely and deep into the mold on the wall of the ring I see traces of beige.
Many beige chips have been cataloged as grey thru the years only because they were uncleaned.
Though Rich deleted his educational posts in that thread... I'm going with the chip being beige in its original state of preservation and tones of grey in used condition.
I have both grey examples and one $5 chip available should anyone care to buy either and clean them... but do be warned: YOU WILL BE MARKED FOR LIFE AS A CHIP CLEANER.
