I have a room reserved at South Point for Tuesday-Thursday, but I haven't bought a plane ticket. I'm thinking of flying out Monday, will make that decision later today. I originally wanted to be there for most/all of the regular convention days, but work threw a monkey wrench into that. A race in Kansas in April had the last day postponed due to tornadoes in the area. That single race day was scheduled to be added to another event in Kansas (at another track) in August, which would have been perfect. The first track complained about not hosting that single race day, so instead of just adding one day to another event, that rescheduled race day is now June 27th. Two travel days for one day of racing will cost me, the sanctioning body and the racers a heck of a lot more money than if they had gone with the original plan. At least I'll be able to spend a little time with my chipping friends.
